Maskitten

Opening night · a play in nine lives · $MASKITTEN

Maskitten Nine lives. One expression.

A small white kitten with pointed ears, compact paws and a curled tail, drawn in scratchy black-and-white ink on solid black. An elongated white oval mask fully covers its face, with black eye holes, a small black smile and thin black crack lines.
Read the programme
Maskitten poses curiously against solid black, with white ears above its unchanged oval mask and small paws and a curled tail below. Rough black ink strokes define its white fur.
Big feelings. Strictly private.

a quiet suspect

Curiosity has entered. Reaction still pending.

I

The investigation

A suspicious noise interrupted a perfectly good nap. Maskitten went to investigate. Nobody requested this service.

II

The incident

Something fell. Maskitten was nearby. The defense would like to point out that nearby is a very large place.

III

The verdict

Too curious to stay out of trouble. Too cute to stay in it. Sentenced to one nap.

Tonight's programme

A note on the lead.

Maskitten knocked something over, heard the crash, and let the silence handle its defense.
